Agile HR Mindset for Leaders
What is the Agile HR Mindset for Leaders training?
A practical leadership introduction to modern Agile HR — for HR leaders navigating increasing complexity, shifting business expectations, and the need to deliver people services faster and closer to real employee needs. Agile HR Mindset for Leaders helps explore the shift from traditional HR as process owners, policy guardians, and rule-setters towards HR as designers of meaningful employee, manager, candidate, and leader experiences.
The program gives leaders a shared understanding of agile mindset, language, and principles without advocating for one specific agile model. Instead, it uses familiar HR language, real examples, and practical reflections to show where agility can help HR teams work more iteratively, collaboratively, and value-first.
Participants will explore what it takes to start bringing agility into HR, including mindset shifts, team setup, roles, governance, prioritisation, roadmapping, and ways of measuring value. The program creates a strong foundation for leadership teams to discuss, align, and make informed decisions about how and where to adopt agile ways of working.

What's included in the Agile HR Mindset for Leaders training?
How you will learn
The program is delivered virtually in two interactive 1.5-hour sessions. Before the live sessions, participants complete a short virtual pre-learning module on the Agile HR Mindset and prepare reflections to bring into the workshop. The format combines short teaching moments, group discussion, practical examples, reflection, and leadership-level application. The focus is not on agile theory for its own sake, but on what agility means for HR leaders making decisions about people, teams, operating models, and change.
SESSION 1
Understanding the Agile HR mindset
BETWEEN SESSIONS
Reflection and mindset assessment
SESSION 2
Roadmapping Agile HR adoption
In the first session, participants explore what agile is and what it is not, and how agile thinking connects to business value and HR impact. We look at how HR teams are changing their focus, operating models, behaviours, and ways of working in response to increasing complexity and business change.
The session also covers the basics of how agile teams work and includes practical examples from HR and other organisational contexts. Participants begin identifying where agility could be useful in their own HR operations and which areas may be most important to explore further.
Between the two sessions, participants complete an Agile HR mindset assessment and reflect on where their current leadership mindset supports agility — and where there may be room to grow.
They also consider where agile ways of working could be beneficial in their own HR function, projects, services, or operating model. These reflections are used as input for the second session.
The second session focuses on what it means to start bringing agility into HR in practice. We take a leadership-level view of the key elements that need attention, including team setup, roles, capability building, governance, prioritisation, dependencies, portfolio thinking, KPIs, and value measurement.
Participants also explore release planning from an HR perspective and what it means to deliver value iteratively to the organisation. The session closes with group insights, reflections, and next-step thinking for the leadership team.
