Self-learning: Agile HR Mindset

Training-program-pattern-1

What is the Self-learning: Agile HR Mindset course?

This course is a thought-provoking introduction to the Agile mindset in HR – what it truly means, what it definitely does not mean, and why it matters now more than ever.

Great for both individuals or HR teams, this training explores real-world HR examples that challenge traditional ways of working and show how Agile can be applied across any HR function, in any organisation.

Through the course, you will build a clear understanding of approaches to work and how to assess when agility is the right response. You will examine why businesses value agility, why HR teams are shifting towards agile operating models, and how increasing complexity is reshaping collaboration at work.

Designed to spark curiosity and reflection, the course goes beyond theory to focus on mindset. If you are curious about modern, user-centric HR and want a grounded yet inspiring starting point, this course sets the scene perfectly.

The introduction will include familiarising you with the learning materials and platform, and being introduced to the learning diary which is a valuable component.

This initial part will also include questions for you to answer to establish context and your own learning aims.

Time commitment is approximately 2 hours.

We recommend breaking the 2 hours down over a 2-week sprint - a mini module every other day.

We also recommend attending one of our free introduction to Agile HR sessions. Find the next available session in our calendar: https://agilehrcommunity.com/training-calendar/

  • Agile Context

  • Agile Ways of working
  • In these six mini-modules, you'll be taken through real-world Agile HR examples, the business case for agility, practical frameworks and when / when not to use Agile.

You'll also take part in reflective activities to challenge common misconceptions and help you assess and strengthen your own Agile mindset.

    Module 2: Why Agile?
    Module 3: Why Agile HR
    Module 4: Waterfall and Agile

The assessment is not a test — there are no “right” or “wrong” answers.

The goal is to help you understand where your personal mindset and preferences already supports agility, where you might stretch your mindset more towards supporting agile practices, and where you may experience more tension as you adopt Agile more broadly.
